Under the terms of the resulting contract, the selected contractor will provide Abatement, Demolition and Removal Services, for the GDOT Project identified. The anticipated scope of work for the project/contract is included in Exhibit I. Compliance with all pertinent regulations (State/Federal/Local/Industry) is required. It is the responsibility of the respondent to obtain knowledge of rules and regulations relevant to the Scope of Work identified herein. P.I. Steve Farrar, email: rfarrar@dot.ga.gov . The deadline for submission of questions relating to this solicitation is the time and date shown in the (Schedule of Events- Section III above). From the issue date of this solicitation until a successful bidder is selected and the award is made official and announced, respondents are subject to the Restriction of Communication in Section I.B (above). GDOT anticipates one (1) award to one (1) firm, for the project/contract identified. GDOT will issue a purchase order contract to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidding firm. The purchase order will serve as the official Notice to Proceed. It is GDOT's intention that the contract will remain in effect for thirty (30) days unless modified in writing by GDOT with a purchase change order. The winning firm will be notified in writing via email and must provide the required Performance Bond within five (5) business days of receiving the purchase order. If the Contractor does not provide the required Performance Bond by the deadline, the Contractor may be deemed "non-responsive" and the Department may rescind the award and purchaser order. At that point, the next lowest bidder will be notified via e-mail of the Department's intent to accept the next lowest bid and the five (5) business day requirement to provide the Performance Bond will be upheld. Lowest, Responsive and Responsible: Any award resulting from this solicitation will be made to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidding firm meeting all requirements. GDOT reserves the right to cancel any solicitations where it is determined to be in the best interest of the Department to do so. GDOT reserves the right to increase, reduce, add, or delete any item in this solicitation as deemed necessary.
