Renovation of an educational facility in Barrington, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Barrington Early Learning Center-$507,025 Arnett C. Lines Elementary-$5,736,101 This project will bid multiple trade packages: Demolition, Concrete, Masonry, Steel, Roofing, Glass & Glazing, Drywall, Acoustical Ceilings, Flooring, Painting, General Trades, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Landscaping, Earthwork. Bidders must include all work associated with the contract documents. Refer to the contract documents for additional information related to the scope of work. Prime Trade Agreements for the Work will be assigned to the Construction Manager. All bids must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check or Bid Bond of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Base Bid made payable to Barrington Community Unit School District 220. Contractors shall guarantee their submitted Bid Proposal for a ninety (90) day period from the date of Bid Opening. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for 100%. Contractor's Qualifications Statement must be submitted at time of bid or already be on file with Pepper Construction. Compliance with Prevailing Wages and all equal employment practices is required. Bids will ONLY be accepted at the administrative office. The Community Unit School District 220 Board of Education is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other bid and reserves the right to reject any and all bids, reject non-conforming bids, reject conditional bids, waive any informalities and irregularities in bidding procedure, and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, as determined by the District. Locations- 1. Barrington Early Learning Center a. Project Location: 40 E Dundee Rd, Barrington, IL 60010 2. Arnett C Lines Elementary School a. Project Location: 217 S Eastern Ave, Barrington, IL 60010. 1. Barrington Early Learning Center: a. Renovation of Main Office to add transaction counter at vestibule b. Limited areas of renovation to add corridor doors within existing building c. Site renovation near main entrance related to safety/security system in building d. Testing and balancing of mechanical equipment/systems throughout building e. Multiple locations of door, frame, and hardware upgrades related to safety/security system in building. f. Multiple locations of rough-in for camera and security devices related to safety/security system in building 2. Lines ES: Scope of the project includes site work and various areas of interior renovations throughout existing elementary school building as follows: a. Improvements to exterior building envelope, including but not limited to, replacement of stone copings, replacement of metal copings, installation of flashing, replacement of exterior soffits, and installation of spray foam insulation at inside face of exterior walls. b. 3,000 SF interior renovation of the top floor of the existing building to create STEM, Art, and Extended classrooms and additional support spaces c. 1,405 SF interior renovation of Classroom 14 and Staff Lounge 10A to create new Sensory, Staff Lounge, and Self-Contained Classroom spaces. d. 625 SF interior renovation of Main Office to add transaction counter at vestibule. e. Various small areas of site improvements related to safety/security at building entrance and generator near loading dock area. f. Finishes refresh to group toilet rooms and renovations to improve accessibility g. Multiple locations of door, frame, and hardware upgrades related to safety/security system in building h. MEP and structural work associated with various renovation areas i. Replacement of mechanical equipment throughout the building, including, but not limited to, RTU replacement, chiller replacement, and controls upgrades. j. Replacement of domestic water piping throughout building k. Multiple locations of rough-in for camera and security devices related to safety/security system in building
