This project is outlined in further detail in section four (4) of this document. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to acquire offers from various vendors, conduct a fair evaluation based on criteria listed herein, and select the candidate who best provides the County with the desired product and service. Merrimack County is a government facility that operates under the discretion of elected officials that manage county finances. All bids will be subject to approval by the Merrimack County Board of Commissioners. Through this RFP, Merrimack County intends to select a respondent to enter into a contract to perform well drilling services at two sites owned by the County of Merrimack and further described in this RFP. The County of Merrimack aims to move as quickly as practicable and identify the most qualified respondent that: 1. Meets the needs of the County of Merrimack. 2. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of water well work. 3. Understands specifications for water well drilling, permitting, & zoning regulations for the AHJ, Town of Boscawen, and State of NH DES. 4. Capable of recommending additions to the project scope to satisfy the needs of the county. The County of Merrimack is soliciting proposals for two drilled water wells, pump systems, storage tanks, and services for the county farm. The wells are intended for crop and livestock watering purposes. The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain the services of a qualified well drilling firm to install irrigation wells at two Merrimack County farm locations. Proposers shall provide an itemized list for all drilling costs and shall provide pricing to install irrigation wells as described in the typical task contained in this RFP. A. Water wells shall be used for irrigation supply and shall be permitted as such. All wells shall be constructed according to the guidelines set forth by all applicable State regulations. B. Prior to the beginning of drilling, Contractor shall be available to inspect each site with the County Facilities Engineer or their designated representative and advise the County at the time of the inspection of any limitations or expectations to complete the drilling process at that site. C. Contractor shall provide required equipment and expertise to drill six (6) inch diameter well. The goal of well(s) is 10 gallon per minute. D. Contractor shall secure well(s) with required casing and/or grout to stabilize well structure per current standards. Pump Installation: A. Contractor shall provide and install properly sized single phase well pump, with specified manufacturer's warranty beginning upon acceptance by the county. B. Well pump motor power source shall be provided by the County. C. Additional items to be supplied and installed by Contractor: 1. Well cap 2. Pump start relay 3. Pit less /dump back into well 4. Gate valve 5. Pressure relief valve 6. Pressure gauge 7. Petcock/garden hose hook up for winterization 8. Valve box/heavy duty commercial cover 9. Provide all owner's/maintenance manuals D Water storage tanks and pumps, above ground installation: 1. Provide two 2,500-gallon water storage tanks. Approximate size: Diameter 95" x Height 89" with 2" outlet & 1.5" inlet, Overflow discharge 2. Material: food-grade safe FDA approved seamless construction; polyethylene plastic with UV stabilized resins. 3. Color: Black or Green 4. Provide supply pipe and connections from the well to the tank. 5. Tank Gage & Level Monitor with tank full sensor. 6. Two Tank pads 7. Provide two self-priming Irrigation/ Sprinkler pumps 70 cfm or greater.
