Demolition and site work for a water / sewer project in Stockton, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK. The project consists of demolishing three (3) existing buildings located at the Port of Stockton West Complex. The improvements include the following: Removing buildings at 317 Davis, 417 Davis, and 607 Daly, and all utilities and associated appurtenances, removing and capping all service lines including electrical, sewer, water and gas, and removing existing concrete structures and surfaces within the described work area. The existing buildings contain known asbestos structure and proper abatement and mitigated measures will need to be applied. All material will be hauled off site and the cost shall be included in the Contractor's bid. CONTRACT TIME. Work shall be finally completed within 45 Business Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. REQUIRED CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE(S). A California "A" Contractor License is required to Bid this Contract, and either Contractor or appropriate subcontractor(s) must hold a current ASB asbestos certification to Bid this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Removal, handling, and/or disposal of hazardous materials may by law require hazardous substance removal certification by the Contractor's State License Board. PREVAILING WAGE LAWS. The successful Bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws applicable to the Project, and related requirements contained in the Contract Documents. INELIGIBLE CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS: Port shall not accept a Bid from a Bidder who is ineligible to bid or work on, or be awarded, a public works project pursuant to California Labor Code Section 1777.1 or 1777.7. Bidder shall not include in its Bid any subcontractor who is ineligible to bid or work on, or be awarded, a public works project pursuant to California Labor Code Section 1777.1 or 1777.7. RESERVATION OF RIGHTS. Port specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, or re-bid, or to waive inconsequential deviations from Bid requirements not involving time, price, or quality of the Work.
