The Municipality of the District of Clare ("The Municipality") is seeking to create new affordable and market housing units. The municipality has land for both immediate development and properties that will become available for development in the next 12 to 18 months. The municipality is seeking one or more development partners to create new ownership or rental housing on these properties in the next 12 to 36 months. The municipality will accept proposals for (re)-development for the following sites that are currently owned or will be owned by the municipality in the near term. Currently Owned Sites: Havelock: 8 acres; 105 Little Brook Road, Little Brook: 6 acres; and 15 Cottreau Road, Little Brook: 13 acres. Future Sites (2023) : École Joseph-Dugas Site: 17 acres; and École Stella-Maris Site: 6 acres. The evaluation process will be carried out by the Municipality. The intent of the evaluation process is to establish the timing, priority and development objectives for releasing requests for proposals for development of each site. Developers may be contacted during the evaluation stage for clarification and/or further inquiries.
