Description

Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Working plans call for the construction of a 756,200-square-foot educational facility; laboratory facility; medical facility; office development; bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

As of February 17, 2025, this project was approved on February 12th. An architect and construction manager have been selected for the project. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to late 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The New York City Economic Development Corporation ("NYCEDC") is seeking a consultant team to manage the construction of the new Science Park and Research Campus ("SPARC") in Kips Bay. The SPARC Kips Bay Project will consist of approximately 756,200 gross square feet of new construction on the site, including: modern academic space for City University of New York, a New York City Public Schools school, vibrant public spaces, a pedestrian bridge, and resiliency infrastructure.
