Demolition, site work and addition to an educational facility in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 26,944-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The Board of Education of School District No. 34 (Abbotsford) (the Owner) wishes to retain the services of a qualified Construction Management firm to work with the Owner, its Architect (Station One Architects), and Sub-Consultants for the upcoming Building Addition project (#6179) at Auguston Traditional Elementary School (Auguston), 36367 Stephen Leacock Drive, Abbotsford BC V3G 2Z6. The project involves a two-storey addition on the north-west side end of the building including 8 learning spaces (4 kindergarten/4 general instruction), a new elevator, exit stairs and storage space, and also involves converting the original daycare space back to the original intent and converting existing washrooms to gender neutral washrooms. The addition will require the relocation of 3 existing portables and 12 additional parking spaces.
