The Town of Wilton seeks to engage one or two Consulting Engineering Firms to provide Inspection Services during 2023 for the following transportation projects: Replacement of the Lovers Lane Bridge Over Comstock Brook Bridge No. 04975 and Replacement of the Arrowhead Road Bridge Over Norwalk River Bridge No. 05501 The Consulting Engineers will be evaluated and selected based on technical competence, the capacity and capability to perform the work within the time allotted, past record of performance, and knowledge of Federal, State and Town of Wilton procedures, approximately weighted in descending order of importance. The construction inspection fee will be negotiated on a cost plus basis. Firms responding to this request should be of adequate size and sufficiently staffed to perform the assignment described above. The selected firm must meet all Town of Wilton, State and Federal affirmative action and equal employment opportunity practices. A letter of interest, together with general information on the firm and proposed sub consultants, the firm's brochure, current Federal GSA Form 330, experience of the firms, and a resume of key personnel Additionally, all interested firms must submit a detailed statement including the organizational structure under which the firm proposes to conduct business. Proposed subconsultants should be clearly identified. The relationship to any "parent" firm or subsidiary firm, with any of the parties concerned, must be clearly defined. Once a Consultant is selected, typical agreement to execute will be based on agreement used for Federal Local Bridge Program. Personnel in responsible charge of each project will be required to possess and maintain a valid Connecticut Professional Engineer's license and/or NICET Level 3 or NICET Level 4 Certification in Transportation/Highway Construction. All questions and answers will be on the Town of Wilton Website. Questions will be accepted until 4:30 P.M. on November 2nd, 2022; answers will be submitted by 4:30 P.M. on November 9th, 2022. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
