The purpose and intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to solicit sealed bids from a qualified contractor to provide Milling and Paving at the Williamsburg- James City County Courthouse. All questions pertaining to this project should be directed to Caprice White, Procurement Specialist, no later than 2:00 p.m. on October 24, 2022 in writing by email: Caprice.White@jamescitycountyva.gov PERFORMANCE BOND: When requested in the bid, the County shall require the successful bidder to furnish a performance bond and labor and material payment bond with surety satisfactory to the County Attorney in the amount of the contract price at a time of or prior to execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive errors (informalities) in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part, and to award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Work under this Project consistsof:
1. The Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse located at 5201MonticelloAve, Williamsburg, VA 23188 (See Attachment B). The Contractor shall
coordinate with the County's Capital Projects Coordinator to developaschedulefor this work. All pavement markings shall be restored to existingconditions.
2. Contractor to mill existing pavement to a depth of 2"(Approximately2720SY). Saw cutting of pavement will occur at all paving joints.
3. Contractor to place 2" of SM 9.5A asphalt in milled areas.
4. Contractor to replace (in kind) Traffic Markings/Striping at existinglocations.
5. All work and materials are to comply with the most recent editionof theHRPDC.
6. Contractor will coordinate all work schedules with the Capital Projects Coordinator. Work will be scheduled to provide minimal impact tothepublic'suse of the facility.
7. Contractor to provide traffic control measures, as necessary.
All work shall be completed within 30 calendar days
