Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Highgate Center, Vermont. Design plans call for the construction of a clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a hospitality development; library; and hospitality development.

Per the owner, as of August 28, 2024, an award has been made for this solicitation. The owner states that the project is in 60% design and the project is anticipated to bid January-March 2025. The owner states that a timeline for construction has not been determined. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ........... The Town of Highgate has received a Municipal Planning Grant (MPG) from the Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD) Department of Housing and Community Development, to complete further planning and design work for the Village Core Master Plan Phase II. The project is focused on a 2.14-acre municipally owned parcel in the community center for redevelopment. This project is managed by a steering committee and all meetings will be open to the public and all documents created will be available to the public. Public involvement will be an important component of this process. This planning study will accomplish the following objectives: 6 Review existing studies and ongoing development of the Master Plan to understand the overall vision of the projecte Coordinate an ARA and potential Phase I for the School lot. Complete documentation necessary for a 106 NHPA review including, but not limited to: Archaeological Resource Assessment and if needed Phase I Environmental Assessment Architectural Historian Determination of Eligibility for the National Registry Work with the Committee to create an RFP for the redevelopment of the Historic Stinehour Hotel utilizing pertinent studies, public input and concept vision to determine the potential restoration or reconstruction of the building. This work will include evaluating potential reuse scenarios and their viability on the site. Complete property redevelopment timelines and estimates Present to the Committee at project milestones and at public vote meetings Week of August 14th Interviews July 2024 Project Substantially Completed All questions from prospective applicants must be received in writing to the Town Administrator at townadmin@hiphgatevt.org. Any questions received will be responded to in writing to all firms that have notified the Town of Highgate of their intent to submit a proposal
