On December 12, 2022, Charlotte City Council approved unit price contracts with the following companies for soil and debris hauling services for an initial term of two years: - K&C Transportation Group LLC (MBE), - UL Excavating and Grading LLC Charlotte Water is seeking multiple companies to provide scheduled, ongoing Soil and Debris Hauling Services for its Field Operations division. Field Operations is responsible for infrastructure and pipeline repairs with crews that work 24 hours a day, seven days a week to maintain more than 8,000 miles of pipe. During the repairs, old piping is often dug up along with soil, gravel and debris. Those items are considered Debris and must be discarded appropriately at a landfill. Once the pipes are repaired, fresh soil is used as fill in so the road above can be repaired. A pre-proposal meeting will not be held for this project.
