The Work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, stripping of all existing cedar shingles, wooden trim, eave elements, and reconstruction / replacement with specified historic facade treatment / siding and wood elements. Work will include accessing wall cavities from exterior and installing spray foam insulation on all vertical exterior walls. New vapour barrier will be installed on all exterior surfaces. All associated flashing, building tapes, and other incidental building systems will be included. Work shall be substantially complete within 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total value of the Task 1 Bid Item (basis of award) in the form of a Bid bond or certified/treasurer's check. The bidding and award of this Contract shall be in full compliance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M, as last revised, all Federal, State and Town of Dighton regulations and is subject to the minimum wage rates set under the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Law Chapter 149, 26 to 27H and/ Federal Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the United States Department of Labour under the Davis-Bacon Act. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids when such an action is deemed in the best interests of the Town. Non-responsive and/or unbalanced Bids may be rejected.
