The Contract to be awarded by the Utility for these services will require the successful Bidder to receive, accept, process, recycle and dispose, in accordance with applicable law, of Solid Waste Type 23 Vegetative Waste (as defined in the Bid Specifications), delivered to the Contractor's NJDEP-licensed facility by or on behalf of the Utility. The successful Bidder may also be required, as directed by the Utility if needed, to transport Vegetative Waste from the Utility's Transfer Station located at 87-95 Rock Avenue, Plainfield, New Jersey to the Contractor's NJDEP-licensed facility, or to another NJDEP-licensed facility. Any Vegetative Waste that is not recycled must be disposed of in compliance with the requirements of the Union County District Solid Waste Management Plan. The Utility is not responsible for any Bid that is not received by the prevailing bid time. No Bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the receipt and opening thereof. The Utility reserves the right to reject any or all Bids due to any defects or waive informalities and accept any Bids that in their judgment will be in the best interest of the Utility, in accordance with applicable law. The Utility shall award a contract or reject all Bids no later than sixty (60) days from receipt of the same. Mutually agreed upon extensions of time for the award of a contract may be made, if necessary, in accordance with law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N ..J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 ET.SEQ., Affirmative Action Requirements and all other applicable federal, state and local laws.
