The work consists of removing four existing 128 # R-E-7-A Girder rail expansion joints that currently sits on top of a structural expansion joint and replacing with four new 115 # Expansion Joint assemblies, relocated to the South of the Structural Expansion Joint. Additionally, 8 compromise joints are required in order to connect the new 115 # Rail Expansion Joint to the existing 128# R-E-7-A Girder Rail. Concrete fill will be used for surfacing.1. Remove existing concrete pavement 200 SF +/- 2. Remove Existing 128 lb Girder Rail 132 LF +/- 3. Remove existing Base Plates and Hardware N/A 4. Remove existing Joint Bars 4 EA 5. Prep Existing 128 LB Girder Rail for Compromise joints 8 EA 6. Install Epoxy Grout base & Base Plates 13.5 CF 7. Install Rail Expansion Joint assembly 4 EA 8. Install compromise joints 8 EA 9. Placement of lean concrete fill in pocket 5.5 Yards 3. Demolition - Remove existing concrete pavement and existing rail and expansion joints as shown on Sheet D-101. 4. New Construction - Install new rail, expansion joints, compromise joints, hardware, and lean concrete pavement as shown on Sheet S-001 & S-501 Completion- 60 consecutive calendar days
