Estimated construction cost is between $2,000,000 and $3,500,000 Pukalani Terrace Subdivision Pavement Reconstruction (FY 2022). The project involves the reconstruction of pavement sections of various roads in the Pukalani Terrace Subdivision. The scope of work also involves installing pavement striping and markers; adjusting manhole and water valve frames and covers; replacement of signage and posts; installation of curb ramps and replacement of sidewalks; and other incidental items. To be eligible to bid, bidders must be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors. Contractors are hereby notified of the applicability of Section 11-205.5, HRS, which states that campaign contributions are prohibited from specified State or County government contractors during the term of the contract if the contractors are paid with funds appropriated by the legislative body. The County of Maui, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations Part 21) issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability.
