Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Work of the Project includes construction of a new pre-engineered steel shelter. The work includes site work (grading, utilities and sidewalk), electrical, foundations, slab and pre-engineered steel shelter construction. All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid Bond" form contained in the project manual, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the Quincy Park District, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check payable to the Quincy Park District, for not less than 5 percent (5%) of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. Printing and shipping fees for hard copies are the responsibility of the Contractor. Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workmen performing work under this contract. Bids may be held by Quincy Park District for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. The Quincy Park District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities.
