This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Sugar Land, Texas. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The purpose of cleaning, televising and inspecting of the storm sewer line is to remove all debris, solids, sand, grit, etc. from the storm sewer and manholes thus improving pipe flow and performing television inspection for storm sewer evaluation. All work completed for this contract will be done during normal business hours, 8-5 Monday through Friday excluding holidays, unless agreed upon by both parties, or in the case of an emergency need. The purpose of this contract is to function as an ON CALL project as well as a routine maintenance project. Contractors are expected to have authorized staff and equipment localized to the COSL or surrounding areas in case of emergency or for any other routine maintenance needs. Contractors are expected to respond to any on-call needs from the COSL within 48 hours from the time of initial contact. Failure to provide resources fitting the COSL needs could lead to termination of the contract or rejection of bid. The COSL will provide a map of all storm sewer system lines and sizes to be cleaned and/or televised each year/when needed. These will include storm lines in front and rear easements, neighborhood streets and state highways. The contractor will be responsible for contacting homeowners to gain access and all required traffic control to complete this work. Any unusual circumstances will also be noted on the form such as but not limited to: Broken curbs/sidewalks/concrete upon arrival to site (to be documented via picture or email with photo) Water leaks Manhole/pipeline infiltration All incidents(typically homeowner property) that could be deemed the fault of the contractor unless properly documented to dismiss liability Questions regarding this bid must be received by the City of Sugar Land's Purchasing Office no later than 3:00 P.M., Thursday, October 27, 2022. Questions will not be accepted after this time. Please direct all questions regarding this bid to: City of Sugar Land Purchasing Jason Poscovsky, CPPO, CPPB E-mail: jposcovsky@sugarlandtx.gov The Bidders must submit an Original Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and the Surety with their Bids in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the Bid, inclusive of any Bid alternates, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Performance and Payment Bonds as required after the Contract is approved by the City's City Council. Performance Bond: A performance bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the total for the awarded section(s) will be required. Payment Bond: A payment bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the total for the awarded section(s) will be required. TO PROVIDE FOR: the annual contract commencing on the latest date executed by both parties and continuing until September 30, 2023. The term of this Contract shall automatically renew without further documentation or agreement annually for four additional one-year terms under the terms and conditions provided herein, unless written notice of a party's intent not to renew is received by the other party on or before thirty (30) days before the expiration of the then current term. City of Sugar Land reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any or all products and/or services covered in this invitation to bid and to waive informalities of defects in such bids.
