Renovation of a multi-residential development in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The New Bedford Housing Authority invites Contractors to submit Bid Proposals for - Bay Village Sanitary Pipe Replacement Project in New Bedford, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by the New Bedford Housing Authority. The Prime Contractor is required to have the following DCAMM Certification: Plumbing This contractor and all subcontractors shall furnish to the Owner, with the first certified payroll report, documentation indicating that each employee has successfully completed 10 hours of an OSHA course in construction safety and health. This course must be approved by the United States Occupational Health and Safety Administration. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44 A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c. l4 The Work consists of furnishing and installing all materials, labor, supervision and incidentals required for the replacement of existing cast iron sanitary drainage piping with new PVC piping at various buildings on one site. The work consists of the following major items: 1. Demolition and disposal of existing piping being reaplced. 2. PVC sanitary drainage pipe, fittings, hangers, and supports 3. Support of cast iron stacks. 4. Separation of storm and sanitary piping including new downspouts and splash blocks. 5. Removal of running traps and vents 6. Flushing rodding, clearing, and camera inspection of building drains. 7. Field dimensions/ quantities shall be verified by the Contractor. 8. The proposed new system shall be located in the same place as the existing. 9. All existing materials and debris shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with all applicable State, Federal, and Local Codes and Regulations; 10. All work shall be done in compliance with all Federal, State and Local Building Codes; 11. All work to be done in strict compliance with the manufacture's installation requirements. When local codes and application instructions are in conflict, the more stringent requirements shall take precedence
