This project consists of roof replacement of the existing school building. As of November 14, 2022, the owner and construction manager will be reviewing bid package submissions. Paper plans and specifications can be attained from Construction Manager, Rick Scott Construction, Inc. for a $150 refundable deposit. Bids received more than ninety-six (96) hours, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, before the time set for the opening of bids will not be considered and will be returned unopened. All bids shall be submitted in an opaque envelope clearly marked in the lower left corner “Sealed Bid: Newkirk Public Schools Roof Replacement, Bid Form #____” along with the time and date of opening. Each bidder must deposit sealed with his/her bid, security in the amount of five percent (5%) and in the form of a cashier’s check, a certified check, or a surety bond if the bid is over $50,000. Bid security will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. The Owner encourages all bidders to give first consideration to local subcontractors and suppliers and is required to accept the lowest, most responsible bidder.
