As of November 22, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The contract will require that the successful Contractor provide the Town of Paxton the materials/services necessary, in accordance with the contract requirements, specification, quote form and other supporting documents. The contract is meant to be an on-time quote for the work as itemized in the Quote Form and to be completed no later than June 30, 2023, or as otherwise specified. The Contractor shall be required to begin work within thirty (30) days of notification to proceed with the contract, as weather permits. Within the provisions of MGL Chapter 308, this contract may be extended upon mutual agreement between the Town and Contractor for up to one year. The Town of Paxton will not award this contract unless the Contractor furnishes satisfactory evidence of their ability and experience to perform this work, and that they have sufficient capital and equipment to enable them to prosecute the work successfully and to complete it within the time named in the contract. The Contractor shall not sublet any portion of this contract and will own all equipment used to complete such contract. The Contractor shall provide a list of all similar jobs within the last three years. On the form provided, the Contractor shall submit the name, address, and telephone number of a contact person involved with each of these projects so they can be investigated prior to the award of the contract. Any material or workmanship found to be defective for up to one year from the date of acceptance by the Town shall be replaced by the Contractor at no cost to the Town of Paxton. Upon notification of defective material or workmanship, the Contractor shall immediately replace such defective areas, unless otherwise instructed by the DPW Director, or his assigns. Various Town departments have set funds aside to repair and/or replace accessory buildings owned by the Town. The contract(s) will be awarded on an item-by-item basis to the responsible and eligible bidder(s) offering the lowest price for each project.
