The work will include but is not limited to the installation, operation and maintenance of a closed-loop oxygenation and biological groundwater remediation system and related appurtenances designed to target and remediate free-phase petroleum product [light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL)] located below the existing concrete floor slab beneath the firehouse parking bays. This shall include all site clearing, saw cutting and pavement removal, earthwork, removal and disposal of excavated soils, direct push drilling, well screens and piping, well vaults and covers, electrical components, system enclosure, and any other equipment or appurtenances required for a fully-functioning remediation system. This work shall also include site restoration, paving, and related appurtenances. Upon the completion of remediation operations, the Contractor shall be responsible for demobilization of the system and removal of the above grade portions of the system. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, supervision, trade skills, materials, and equipment required for this project as described in the Construction Documents. The Contract will allow 575 calendar days for completion of the work from the notice to proceed. A certified check or cashiers check made payable to the order of the City of Hackensack, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that They can obtain the required Performance Bond. The successful Bidder will be required to deliver to the Owner an executed Performance Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey.
