GADSDEN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ADVERTISEMENT REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES Architectural Services The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners is seeking sealed qualifications from any qualified Architect Consultants who are interested in providing engineering services for the County. The design work shall comply with all life safety requirements and all applicable codes, including but not limited to Florida Building Code, and Fire Prevention Code, ADA, and permitting requirements of Gadsden County. Design Team - Included services for the work may consist of, but shall not be limited to Architecture, Engineering (Structural, Electrical, Environmental, etc.), Construction Administration and Observation, etc. The preservation work shall include exterior painting, refinishing exterior steps, restoring cupola windows, clock and bell, water intrusion issues, roof repairs, brick masonry repointing and repair, and other items as budget allows and as recommended. It is the intent of the County to select an Architect Professional to provide, at a minimum, the below listed services: 1. Evaluation of Project Program 2. Meet with County Staff and Officials as necessary to gain a detailed understanding of the project, the program, and all requirements. 3. Document project existing conditions related to the work. 4. Evaluate existing conditions as related to the established program. 5. Prepare project schedule and project budget within the constraints of available funding. 6. Assist in coordinating with state historic preservation representatives. 7. Present design on behalf of Design Team. 8. Generate Schematic Design that satisfies the requirement of the program document, responding to those items still in need of closure for further development. 9. Generate Design Development Documents for County approval. 10. Generate Construction Documents. 11. Provide cost opinion update at required phases and recommend adjustments as appropriate. 12. Provide required engineering services. 13. Provide Construction Administration services. 14. Other duties that are outlined in the RFQ Packet Scope of work 4.0-4.1. The County further reserves the right to award the agreement to those qualifiers whose qualifications best complies with the specifications. Qualifiers may withdraw their qualifications by notifying the County in writing at any time prior to the deadline for qualifications submittal. After the deadline, the qualifications will constitute an irrevocable offer for a period of sixty (60) days. Once opened, qualifications become a record of the County and will not be returned to the qualifiers. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all qualifications and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein.
