Renovation of an educational facility in Baxter, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

**As of December 1, 2022 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** For Roof Replacement Upperman High School - STEEP SLOPE: Remove and properly dispose of indicated edge metal and rake trim, existing ridge cap, metal coping, metal counterflashing, gutters, downspouts and other items shown on Demolition Plans. Provide new wood blocking at locations shown on the Plans. Mechanically attach new 3" beveled isocyanurate flute filler and 1/2" per foot crickets to existing metal roof panels using heavy duty metal deck fasteners and attachment pattern shown on Plans. Using two-part, rope type adhesive, attach new 1/2" cover board to isocyanurate insulation using foam pattern shown on Plans. Provide and install new Fibertite .050" XT-FB, reinforced, fully adhered Roof System with a 20-Year, No Dollar Limit, Total System Warranty, 72 mph wind speed and 1" diameter Hail Warranty. Hot air weld new simulated metal roof profile 1. (SMRP) ribs to new membrane at 24" C.C. Color of membrane and ribs shall match any color selected by Owner. Provide and install new Fibertite weldable metal at locations shown on Plans. Provide and install new 24 ga. prefinished Kynar 500 metal coping, metal counterflashing, gutters and downspouts at locations shown on the Plans. Provide and install new snow guards at locations shown on Plans. All perimeter edge metal shall meet ES-1 attachment requirements. Contractor shall include in Base Bid an Allowance of $100,000.00 for unforeseen conditions and material escalation. Perform all additional work as noted on the Plans. 2. LOW SLOPE: Remove and properly dispose of existing EPDM membrane, flashings and walkpads to existing isocyanurate insulation. Remove existing insulation fasteners from metal deck. Raise existing two layers of 1.5" isocyanurate insulation to inspect existing metal deck. Inspect existing isocyanurate insulation using Delmhorst Meter with probe. Remove and replace all wet and/or deteriorated isocyanurate insulation. Remove and reinstall existing isocyanurate insulation as required to install new EPDM air barrier and foam at perimeter and penetrations. Treat any rusted metal deck with rust inhibitor and replace any metal deck which will not achieve proper pull results. Remove existing metal coping, metal counterflashing, scupper sleeves, conductor heads, downspouts, overflow drains, shrouds, PVC condensate lines and other items shown on Demolition Roof Plans. Provide and install new wood blocking at locations shown on the Plans. Over existing insulation layers, mechanically attach new 1" isocyanurate insulation to metal deck using fastener patterns shown on Plans. Using two-part, rope type adhesive, attach new 1/2" cover board to new isocyanurate insulation using foam pattern shown on Plans. Provide and install new .060", FR, nonreinforced, black, fully adhered EPDM Roof System with a 20-Year, No Dollar Limit Warranty with 72 mph wind speed and 2" diameter Hail Warranty. Provide and install new Kynar 500 metal coping, metal counterflashing, conductor heads and downspouts. The Instructions to Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, Form of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: Richard C. Rinks & Associates, Inc., 30 North Jefferson, Cookeville, Tennessee. All Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of the current Contractor's Licensing Act of Tennessee and shall be thoroughly familiar with all the provisions of said Act. All Bidders must comply with Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, in particular Chapter 6 regarding preparation of the Bid Envelope. Each Contractor shall submit his Bid in accordance with the requirements of the Licensing Act; in particular, giving his name, address, license number, license expiration date, the part of the classification of the license applying to the bid and the license dollar limitation, and shall mark the project bid for Project Name, location of project, and the time, date and place of bid opening. Any Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Masonry or Roofing Contractor whose bid shall exceed $25,000.00 is required by the Licensing Act to be licensed with the State Board for Licensing Contractors. Putnam County Board of Education reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. Each Bidder must deposit with his Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of his Bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required.
