The scope of work is expected to include the services described below. No guarantee is expressed or implied by the CFPUA that all services will be performed or that the selected consultant will perform all services associated with the project. The CFPUA may terminate work or pursue other consultant selections at any phase of the project. Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from professional engineering firms for evaluations and design services for the Authority's Sustainability Enhancements projects. The project will generally consist of an evaluation of existing conditions, composing a basis of design memorandum, design services, obtain permits and assistance with the bid and award phase. Construction based services may be negotiated at a later date. CFPUA will address questions regarding the RFQ until 2:00 PM on November 15, 2022. Questions submitted after this time will not be addressed. It is the submitting firms responsibility to confirm that CFPUA has received the statement of qualifications via email. Submitted information shall comply with N.C.G.S. 143-64.31 through 64.34 (aka Mini Brooks Act). All SOQs will be evaluated by a CFPUA selection team. One firm will be selected from this request for qualifications. The Sustainability Committee, comprised of CFPUA Executive Board members, guides the goals and plans for the organization aligned with environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic vitality. Recently, the board passed a goal to reduce carbon emissions throughout the organization 43% by 2030 based on metric tons of carbon equivalent per million gallons based. This goal is based on a 2019 baseline and includes greenhouse gas emissions from Scopes 1 & 2. Complete Scope and Contract December 10, 2022
