For the completion of customer-side connections to water and sewer. Indian River County Department of Utility Services (Department) is seeking to prequalify plumbing contractors for private-side sewer connections for the North Sebastian Phase 2 Water and Sewer project. The project will entail the connection of approximately 201 residential parcels to County sanitary sewers services. The Department anticipates prequalifying multiple contractors, with each property owner responsible for selecting their preferred contractor from those prequalified firms, and payment made to the contractor by the County. The total effort will include approximately 13,000 LF of PVC sewer, 41 E-One lift stations (or a Department approved alternate), and 202 septic tank pump out and abandonments. In addition, the project will include approximately 161 water service line connections. Each private-side connection will include installation of PVC sewer pipe and associated appurtenances, and may require the installation of a private simplex lift station and/or a private-side water service line connection. In addition, each sanitary sewer connection will require pump out and proper abandonment of existing onsite septic tanks, as required by the Florida Department of Health (FDOH). Cleanup and restoration on private property will also be required after the work is completed.
