Demolition, site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a mixed-use development in Claxton, Georgia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
The building may/may not have asbestos materials inside. The existence, quantity and location of any materials made from asbestos are unknown to the ECCSS. However, the age of the structure is approximately 50 years, and it is known that asbestos was commonly used in building materials during that time. If involved, removal and disposal of asbestos materials must meet all federal, state, and local requirements. The contractor is responsible for all notifications and fees for the demolition and asbestos removal, if applicable. The following remediations are needed: Lead paint Abatement: New pilasters and continuous footings at retaining wall Concrete patch work The following completion work is needed: Separate existing roof of school being demolished from the existing roof of the Bus Barn and restructure the steel to accept the facade removed from existing school Remove facade from existing school being demolished and prepare it to be reused at the Bus Barn Install facade that was removed from the existing school onto the bus bar Paint building roofing facade The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities or reject any or all bids.
