The purpose of the Sustainability Plan (Plan) is to provide a road map with an implementation component for the City of Norwalk (City) to achieve a clearly defined and equitable set of sustainability goals as outlined within the City's Plan of Conservation and Development. We seek to develop an organizational strategy, grounded in sustainability and equity, that seeks to balance the triple bottom line of economic, social and environmental aspects of conservation and development to improve overall mission performance. The intersection of People, Prosperity, Place, Partnership and Performance represents sustainability for the City as reflected in the 2019-2029 Norwalk Plan of Conservation and Development and the promotion of efforts to mitigate greenhouse gases and adoption of best practices to achieve sustainability. In May 2022, City leaders participated in a Community Resilience Building Workshop. Findings from this workshop were formatted into a report (CRB) that has been issued with this RFP, linked below, and will serve as a foundation for the sustainability plan. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
