Renovation of a municipal facility in Everett, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 117,800-square-foot, 10-story above grade municipal facility.
RFP Construction Manager - City of Everett Municipal Building - Public Works Tenant Improvement City of Everett is requesting qualifications from firms interested in providing General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) services. The alternate Public Works contracting procedure authorized in RCW 39.10.340 through 39.10.410 will be utilized for this project. Firms with previous GC/CM experience or experience using a similar alternative construction delivery format are encouraged to review the RFP requirements and submit a proposal. The selected GC/CM firm will receive direction from designated representatives of the City of Everett and will work as a member of a team to achieve project objectives. The City's project team includes representatives of the City of Everett, the Architect Mackenzie, and the GC/CM Advisor Parametrix. The City of Everett Municipal Building is a 10-story, mid-rise office building of approximately 117,800 sf and is located in downtown Everett at 2930 Wetmore Avenue, Everett, WA 98201. The building houses many of the City's Administrative and Support functions, including the Police Department, Engineering, Public Utilities, Human Resources, Permitting Services, and the Prosecutor's Office. The building was constructed in 1980 and is of concrete and steel construction with glass curtainwall and a low-slope roof system. This Project will provide modernizations and tenant improvements, primarily to the building systems, building core, and support areas that will generally include, but are not limited to: modernization of the elevator systems; HVAC equipment and controls upgrades; reroof of the building; new emergency generator and transfer switch; and modernization of the lobby, corridor, and support spaces on multiple, occupied floors which will include: modernization of restrooms; replacement of lighting and lighting controls; replacement of HVAC systems on all floors; replacement of door/frame assemblies and hardware; replacement of floor finishes; replacement of suspended ceiling panels; and interior painting and interior finish upgrades
