Site work for a civil project in Sunset, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project shall consist of constructing a municipal water well and disinfection system, including electrical, instrumentation and control equipment; connection to existing water main; fencing and necessary site work. Bids received after the time specified above will not be considered. Deposits on the first set of documents furnished bonofide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents no later than ten days after receipt of bids. On other sets of documents furnished to bidders the deposit less actual cost of reproduction, will be refunded upon return of the documents no later than ten days after receipt of bids. If the Bidder intends to have the specifications and documentation shipped, prior prepaid arrangements must be made with a third party courier or parcel shipping service. No plans and specifications shall be released Without the above deposit in receipt at the office of Grooms Engineering, LLC. The Specifications and Documents shall be available until twenty-four (24) hours before the time scheduled for the opening of bids. Bids shall be submitted inside a sealed envelope addressed to the Town of Sunset showing the name of the project as above and the name of the Bidder. Any Bidder submitting a bid in the amount of $50,000.00 or more shall be a licensed contractor in accordance with Louisiana R.S. 37:2l50-2164 and shall show the license number on the front of the sealed envelope in which the bid is enclosed. Contractors shall be licensed for the classification of 'Municipal and Public Works Construction' (Note: Subcontractor for water well must possess specialty license: Water Well Drilling) or licensed for the specialty of Water Well Drilling. Bids submitted not in accordance with these requirements shall be rejected and returned unopened to the Bidder. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form included in the Specifications and the Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to the Town of Sunset, the amount of which is not to be less than five (S) percent of the total bid. This surety shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract should it be awarded to him in conformity with the Documents. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract must be completed upon award of the contract by the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes. No Bidder may withdraw the submitted bid for at least forty-five (45) days after the time scheduled for the opening of bids,except to withdraw bids in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes. The Contractor shall be required to commence work under this Contract within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of the written Notice to Proceed.
