Site work for a water / sewer project in Sunset, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project will consist of upgrading the existing 3-cell oxidation pond to treat 0.5 MGD. The major components of the project include: an upgraded effluent pump station with three (3) 20 HP turbine pumps, an upgraded ultraviolet disinfection system, a concrete polishing reactor and system, flow and level control structures, a modular cover and baffle system with floating aspirators in the pond, a generator, levee restoration, access driveway repair, and related items at the Town of Sunset Wastewater Treatment Facility. The Contractor shall be required to commence work under this Contract within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of the written Notice to Proceed. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check, or Bid Bond payable to the Town of Sunset, the amount of which is not to be less than five (5) percent of the total bid. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract must be completed upon award of the contract by the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause; Question Deadline 07/11/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent ofthe Contract Documents shall be directed to the Engineer.
