Principal items of Work included in TANK 6 SEISMIC RETROFIT, CONTRACT 01-2016W, are the seismic retrofit of a 2.0 MG standpipe tank, removal and replacement of the roof handrails, removal and replacement of the existing roof vent and access hatch, removal and installation of a new interior coating system, removal and installation of a new exterior coating system, removal and replacement of the existing exterior ladder and platforms, removal and replacement of the interior landing platform, installation of a new roof access ladder and safety rail system, installation of an automated shut off valve on the inflow/ outflow pipe with external control, installation of a seismic flexible expansion joints, including approximately 220 feet of 12-inch, 10-inch, 6-inch, and 4-inch DI pipe, valves, installation of a new exterior half travel tank gauge, demolition of the existing valve vault and installation of a new' reinforced concrete valve vault and pre-manufactured building enclosure, bypass pumping ports, installation of soil anchors and anchor chairs, expansion of and connection to the existing reinforced concrete footing, installation of a fire access point, installation of Shake Alert, installation of Flo Loc., the addition of sampling ports along the side of the tank, and removal and replacement of the existing traffic gate. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond made payable to the order of Soos Creek Water and Sewer District for a sum not less than five (5) percent of the bid. SOOS Creek Water & Sewer District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities m the bidding, and select whichever bids they determine to be the best value to the District for the Contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the day of bid opening. All work performed on this project will be subject to state prevailing wage: rates. All contractors who bid and perform work, on this project must be licensed in the State of Washington to conduct business.
