Debris Removal. The town regularly requires specialized services to support town staff in implementing projects. Projects costing less than $30,000 do not require informal or formal bidding. All purchasing activities are governed by NC General Statues. For these smaller project staff requests quotes from qualified service providers. This is a request for quote for the project description below. The town will be removing woody debris/vegetation from a section of the Swannanoa River by Riverwalk Park and the former Bi-Lo building at 205 NC-9 Hwy to the NCDOT bridge for NC-9 Hwy crossing the river. The project area is approximately 1700 feet. All debris removed from the river must be removed from the 100-year floodplain.
