*Per Owner, project has been placed on hold, may re-bid at a future time.* A bid bond, certified check or cash in the amount of 10% of the bid amount is required to be submitted with each bid, payable to Dickson City Borough, as a guarantee of the bidder's willingness to execute the contract if awarded the same. Bidders must be PennDOT Prequalified as specified in section 102.01, of Publication 408. Contractors qualifying as subcontractors may submit bids as a prime contractor, consistent with their qualifications and as specified in section 108.01, Publication 408. A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a prerequisite for bidding on this project Bidders are advised that PA Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates must be paid to workers employed on this project and are incorporated in the Contract Documents. These wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract for the entire duration of this project. The Bidder, in accordance with the President's Executive Order 11246, will be required to ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against on the basis of their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin in employment or the provision of services. All bids shall be sent to the Borough's Office by courier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx) which could be tracked.The project site is located at Main Street and Bowman Street in Dickson City, PA. The right to reject any and all bids is hereby reserved by Dickson City Borough. All questions should be directed to Lynn Torrick of Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. at 570.703.0450 or ltorrick@gpinet.com The project consists of installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Bowman Street and Main Street in Dickson City; including but not limited to: traffic signal construction, concrete curbing, pavement base repair, pavement widening, milling and overlay, concrete sidewalk, ADA curb ramps, drainage structures and pipes, underground conduit and trenching, pavement markings and signing, lawn restoration, maintenance and protection of traffic, erosion controls, surveying, mobilization, utility coordination and all associated work as shown on the Construction Documents. . The last day to submit any questions is 4:30 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Utility coordination shall involve coordinating plans for construction of the project with the involved utility companies and to arrange for any required temporary or permanent utility relocations and/or temporary support during construction. The Borough will be responsible for all engineering and construction costs charged by the utility companies for temporary or permanent accommodations for their facilities as required to allow for completion of the subject project. The Contractors time and effort for the aforementioned coordination with the engineer and the utility companies shall be included in the Contractor's Base Bid.
