Identified as Project 10 in the SWM Master Plan. Just north of Tualatin Valley Hwy and west of SE Cornelius Pass Rd is a neighborhood with both residential and commercial uses that was developed primarily before it was annexed to the City. This older neighborhood lacks storm drainage collection and conveyance to serve the area to the south of SE Johnson St. A planned upgrade to Johnson Street, which is a collector, will also require improvements to runoff conveyance. This project will construct new 18" diameter storm sewers in SE Johnson St. Two new 18" pipes will be constructed in SE Johnson St, one flowing east from SE 70th Ave and the other flowing west from SE Cornelius Pass Rd. The two pipes will meet at the low point at the western boundary of Ladd Acres Elementary School and flow north to an existing water quality facility. Another new 18" diameter storm sewer will head west one block from SE 70th Ave to SE 67th Ave, connecting to an existing pipe that continues west. The project is included in the city's 2022-2028 capital improvement plan (CIP).
