CONTRACTOR agrees to the "Scope of Work" that will include all labor, material, supervision, and equipment necessary to repair or replace damaged sewer pipelines and manholes utilizing open trench excavation, saw cutting, shoring, installation, backfill, compaction and compaction testing, paving, and all other work necessary to complete the repair. Services may include but are not limited to: Sewer mainline remove and replace of sizes 8" - 18" and materials of VCP, ABS, DIP, and PVC at various depths. Manhole invert flow line repair or remove and replace. Manhole frame and cover remove and replace (City to provide manhole ring & cover). Locate and raise manhole(s) to grade. Raise or lower manholes to grade. Manhole collar repair consisting of AC or concrete. Repair or remove and replace manhole bench. All work to be inspected and approved by City of Palmdale Public Works Inspection Department. Contractor to submit to the City for approval and furnish all equipment, material, and personnel to perform sewer bypass (i.e., set up/take down) and maintain the bypass throughout the entire duration of repairs. Contractor must be able to conduct traffic control procedures at job site in roadways and pedestrian walkways at the job site during all phases of work. This includes access to all traffic control devices, and compliance per the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUTCD). All work to be performed in a safe manner, using the appropriate personal protective equipment and in accordance with the City's safety practices and CAL-OSHA standards. Submit for approval and acceptance to the City, an Overflow Response Plan specific to the task and in accordance with the City's Overflow Emergency Response Plan. Confined Space Entry Program is required. CCR Title 8, Sections 5156 & 5157. Contractor and technician(s) shall abide to all California and OSHA requirements. Bid Proposal shall contain proof of Confined Space Entry certification. (Exhibit Q - Confined Space Entry) Contractor is responsible for complete cleanup of job site immediately upon completion including but not limited to the removal of spoils, debris, trash, and unused materials leaving the jobsite in a broom - clean condition. If the products or materials or the delivery fail in any respect to conform to the specifications stated in the purchase order contract the CITY may (a) reject the whole (b) accept the whole or (c) accept any commercial unit or units and reject the rest. Warranty. All equipment, materials and/or products must be new. All materials and labor provided or installed by the Contractor shall be warranted for a minimum period of one year from the completion date of installation. Failure to Meet Guarantees. Should the test of any material, apparatus, or equipment show that it does not meet the guarantees and requirements of the Specifications, the Contractor shall at once proceed to furnish such new parts as may be necessary to meet requirements. All expenses of furnishing and installing new parts, or alteration to existing parts, and of test made necessary by such failure to meet the guarantees and other requirements of the Specifications, shall be borne by the Contractor.
