As of 11/17/2022 project was not yet been awarded. No estimated time frame yet. The proposed contract is for 350 hours of road repair of Groundhog hollow road in the GMA. The road will include replacing older washed-out steel culverts with concrete box style culverts or equivalent. The equipment to be used must meet the following minimum specifications: D6 dozer or larger, minimum of 110 HP, & excavator with minimum of 110 hp, & 10 wheeled dump truck and must include an operator. Work will consist of flint/chert style road gravel that is native to the Spavinaw WMA. Work will be replacing a washed-out road crossing and repairing washouts in Groundhog hollow road. Culverts and equipment will be supplied by contractor. The location of Spavinaw WMA is 12 miles Southwest of Jay and 16 miles Northeast of Salina. Additional directions will be given to the awarding bidder upon contract award. Vendor is to provide all labor and needed equipment/material to complete the work as required. Operator will not be compensated for time spent on maintenance and repairs of equipment. Project must be completed within 120 days of contract award. All work will be done as directed by the ODWC Area Biologist or ODWC Area Wildlife Technician. The number of hours is an estimate only, and they may increase or decrease depending on total bid per hour. Contract will be awarded to one vendor only. If the vendor is awarded multiple ODWC projects, they must be capable of completing each project simultaneously. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
