Construct approximately 17,160 linear feet of barbed wire fence, at three (3) sites within the Cross Timber WMA, including H bracing posts as indicated on attached map. Steel T-posts of uniformed color will be used and driven to uniform depth on 12' spacing. Pipe can be driven into the ground 3 feet or can be set in concrete in a 3ft hold with 2 bags of redi-mix, 5 feet of pipe will be above ground on each post. All pipe will be topped with 2 7/8" welded caps. All H panels will have a post spacing of 8ft, All welding on pipe will be complete, with no gaps remaining in H where cross brace and ground posts meet. In addition to the H braces, there will be 12 locations where a 2 7/8" single post 8' in length will be set in the ground 3ft and clips will be welded to the post to hold wire. There single post locations will be where topographic features that may loosen fence over time. Woody vegetation and the old fence will be removed from the replacement fence location by ODWC in a separate contract before construction of the replacement fence begins. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials and equipment to complete the general requirements shown above. T-posts must be 6' long and 1.33 pounds per foot of weight. Wire must be 12.5-gauge 4 point and barbed. Corner and stretch posts to be constructed from 2 7/8" new pipe with a minimum .180 wall thickness. All work will be coordinated with ODWC biologist. The proposed contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
