Proposals will be in accordance with the following: I. No bids which are tied to, or contingent upon, other work with the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority will be accepted. II. Bidders shall familiarize themselves with the conditions and shall understand that full cooperation in executing the requirements of the Scope of Work is expected. III. The work to be performed under ITB-2022-010 consists of: Contractor will remove all friable asbestos containing materials (ACM) and Category II non-friable material as defined by Oklahoma Department of Labor (ODOL) 40 O.S. 450- 456, Oklahoma Asbestos Control Act and OAC 380:50, Abatement of Friable Asbestos Material Rule, and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) statute OAC 252:100-40, as amended, and as specified in an approved Project Design, which will be provided to the contractor. This is an On-Demand Contract and will be for various turnpike corridors across the state. IV. In awarding the contract, the Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to act for the best interests of the Authority without technicalities as to procedure. V. All contractors that desire to provide the OTA with manual service work are required by state statute to complete an employee E-Verify Form. VI. Policies of insurance will not be cancelled without first giving the OTA 30 calendar days advance notice. This statement must be on the Description of Operations section of the Certificate of Insurance. VII. Upon award of contract to a successful bidder, the contract will be completely and correctly executed by the contractor and returned to the Authority within twenty (20) calendar days from the date of award. The Authority will have thirty (30) working days from the date of award to complete its execution of the contract. VIII. A bid opening may be postponed even after the time scheduled for bid opening when an emergency or unanticipated events interrupt normal governmental processes so that the conduct of bid opening as scheduled is impractical. In such a case, the time specified for opening of bids will be deemed to be extended to the same time of day specified in the solicitation on the first workday on which normal business processes resume.
