Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a library in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the addition of a 2,000-square-foot library; for the demolition of a library; for the renovation of a library; and for site work for a library.

The scope of work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to the following areas - The construction of selective demolition, excavation for poured concrete footings and foundation; concrete slab on grade; structural steel column + beam framing; steel beam joists with metal deck and rigid insulation roof deck, cold-formed metal stud infill wall framing, fiberglass shingle roof repair & EPDM roofing; metal prefinished continuous gutters, gutter guards, downspouts, and accessory flashings. Exterior trim work to be wood with prefinished metal wrap and metal soffits. Exterior shall be brick masonry veneer, with cut stone trim work, and EIFS wall areas, aluminum entrance doors & windows, Interior walls are metal stud with gypsum board panels, with hollow metal frames and pre-finished flush solid core wood, or hollow metal doors. Finishes include, cork rubber flooring, polished concrete floors, carpet tile, acoustic ceilings, exposed structure dry-fall painting and other related painting. The work shall also include plastic laminated casework, solid surface counter tops. The work includes site utilities; electrical, data communication wiring and service; mechanical - VRV and roof top HVAC systems, exhaust fan/s, plumbing systems, wet-fire suppression system, connection to existing sanitary sewer system, storm sewer and detention items, electrical systems, lighting and fire alarm systems, access control, video monitoring, and building security systems. The work shall also include all of the related site work for excavation, building layout, temporary construction fencing & construction trailer; soil erosion control, excavation & fill; trench excavation, underground storm water drainage system, concrete paving, concrete walks, aluminum fencing, porous brick pavers, building site lighting and landscaping. Construction time will be as follows: (150) calendar days for Substantial Completion, - 5% Bid Bond required on the form provided. In case the bid is not accepted, the bid bond will be returned to the bidder, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the Jessamine County Public Library, within (10) days after the time they have been notified of the acceptance of the bid, the Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Jessamine County Public Library as liquidated damages for the failure to do so. Performance and Labor and Materials payment Bonds, shall be included as provided herein for 100% of contract price as it may be increased. The Contractor shall provide bonding through a bonding company with an [A] or better rating as established by AM Best Company, to be executed at the award of the Contract. Addendum #1-#3 has been issued as of 11-14-2022.
