MnDOT requests responses for construction inspection and construction surveying for SP 6510-67, an approximate 11-mile alternate bid project on Trunk Highway (TH) 212 from 2.3 miles east of TH 23 to County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 6 in Renville County. The project consists of alternate bituminous or concrete surfacing with bituminous shoulders for both alternates, full depth reclamation and cold central plant recycled bituminous with the bituminous alternate, grading, bituminous milling, ADA improvements and lighting. This project also includes the construction of a passing lane, box culvert replacement, and urban reconstruction through the City of Sacred Heart including City utility work and new stormwater ponds. As part of the construction of SP 6510-67, the State's construction contractor will be utilizing an Automated Machine Guidance (AMG) - Milling System to perform the bituminous milling. The AMG - Milling System is a grade control system attached to the milling equipment that uses a Robotic Total Station (RTS) System to follow milling depths as provided in a Milled Surface Model. Work is anticipated to begin on April 15, 2023 and be completed by November 15, 2023. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
