The City of Glendale is requesting proposals from qualified, interested firms to provide professional services for the Glendale Bus Stop Improvement Program (BSIP). The City of Glendale is interested in improving the transit passenger experience by installing shelter/shade structures and other amenities at bus stops. The City of Glendale is responsible for 467 bus stops serving Glendale Beeline, Los Angeles Metro and Los Angeles Department of Transportation transit services. The consultant will provide the following services: - Survey all 467 bus stops. - Update and enhance the current Glendale Bus Stop Database and GIS mapping. - Make recommendations on types, sizes, levels and deployment of bus stop amenities, including shelter/shade structures, at each existing and proposed stop with estimated unit, installation, and maintenance costs. - Refine recommendations with bus riders through survey and/or focus groups. - Develop a kit of parts for bus stop amenities and an implementation plan with estimated costs. - Develop a maintenance schedule for all existing and proposed bus stop amenities with estimated costs.
