Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR SUBTITLE D - CELL 16 at the Decatur-Morgan County Regional MSW Landfill, City of Decatur, AL, Bid No. 23-001, located at 500 Landfill Drive, Trinity, AL 35673, consisting of grading, compaction, storm and leachate drainage, incidentals, and geosynthetic reinforcement, 60-ml HDPE liner, geocomposite drainage layer, PVC perforated leachate collectors, hauling and placing 12" thick drainage layer; and tie-in to existing liner and geosynthetic reinforcement Bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, and certify that they do not, and will not, maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. A certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Decatur in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but with a maximum of $10,000 must accompany the BID. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in bidding. Materials incorporated into the project are exempt from sales and use tax. General contractors and/or subcontractors are advised that the successful bidder will be required to submit a routine application the Alabama Department of Revenue for an exemption certificate. Attention is called to the CONTRACTOR'S ALABAMA LICENSE LAW, Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama (1975) as amended. CONTRACTOR must be licensed under specialty classification Municipal and Utilities, or Environmental Services. Each BIDDER shall verify that all employees performing work on this project are legally entitled to work in the United States. Verification shall be by E-Verify or similar process.
