Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Alto, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work under this contract shall be for furnishing all labor, materials, transportation and services for the construction and installation of the following work: Demolition of an existing 150,000 gallon ground storage tank and foundation, pipe and valve relocations, and construction of a new 500,000 welded steel ground storag tank including foundation, cathodic protection, inlet/outlet piping and all appurtenances for a complete and operational storage facility Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount bid, by an acceptable bid surety. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Alto Lakes Water & Sanitation District, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and the General Conditions. By submission of the bid, Bidder fully understands the requirements of the Contract Documents and agrees to comply with all requirements thereof. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor on this project must comply with the provisions of the Labor Standards contained in the specifications and must pay not less than the prevailing wage rates, as issued by the Department of Labor. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The ALW&SD reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality in the Bidding. All contractors / subcontractors who are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. Bids may be held by the Engineer for a period not to exceed 30-days from the date of the Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the Bidder's qualifications, prior to awarding the Contract.
