The project is generally described as the removal of existing air conditioning units, cast iron hot water radiators, a propane-fired boiler, and an above ground propane tank, and the installation of an electric ducted HVAC system and an insulated attic access ladder. The work includes but is not limited to structural, mechanical, electrical and other work as indicated in the contract documents. This solicitation is a set-aside for DSBSD-certified small/micro business participation. Small businesses certified by the Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity or a subcategory of small businesses shall have a price preference over noncertified businesses competing for the same contract award on prime contract construction procurements up to $100,000, provided that the bid of the certified small business or the business in such subcategory of small businesses does not exceed the low bid by more than five (5) percent. A five percent (5%) bid bond is required to accompany this bid. When required bid shall be accompanied by a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2, payable to the Owner as obligee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Failure to submit the bid bond on the Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond, Form CO-10.2 will result in the bid being considered non-responsive.
