Site work for a water / sewer project in Agawam, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested by the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission's (SWSC) Chief Procurement Officer. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 3039M as amended and other applicable statutes. This project is at least partially funded by the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA), and Contractors attention should be drawn to any pertinent WIFIA requirements contained in the bidding documents. Sewer Infrastructure Improvements FY23. The works generally includes, but is not strictly limited to the expediated repairs of a 60-inch x 40-inch brick sewer within Main St near Court Square, the rehabilitation of a double barrel 14 inch and 18-inch sewer siphon under Watershop's Pond, rehabilitation of a 28-inch x 42-inch brick sewer within Fort Pleasant Ave, rehabilitation of an 18-inch sewer within Spring St, and a sewer manhole replacement at the intersection of Commonwealth Ave and Lawndale Ave. Contractor must agree to pay Davis Bacon wage rates or MA Prevailing Wage rates whenever applicable. The SWSC reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Chief Procurement Officer by November 10, 2022, 4:30 P.M.
