The Oconee County Board of Commissioners is requesting proposals from contractors interested in the installation and connection of an approximately 1.2 mile long internet fiber line from the Oconee County Courthouse located at 23 N Main Street Watkinsville, Georgia 30677 to the new Oconee County Administrative Building located at 7635 Macon Highway Watkinsville, Georgia 30677. A bid bond* in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount and a Consent of Surety must be enclosed in bid submissions at the time of the bid opening. The Consent of Surety shall state that upon award of agreement, a Performance and Payment bond of one hundred percent (100%) of the total agreement amount can be furnished. *Surety companies executing bonds must be authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia. Pursuant to Georgia law, no bids will be considered without an executed E-Verify affidavit. The successful bidder will be required to pay sales and use tax on materials purchased or used on this project. The OCBOC reserves the right to cancel this solicitation and/or reject any and all proposals in whole or in part if Oconee County determines that cancellation and/or rejections are advantageous to the County. RFPs are legal and binding upon the Respondent when submitted. It will also be the responsibility of each Respondent to obtain any addenda issued from the Purchasing Office. The written RFP documents supersede any verbal or written prior communications between the parties.
