This project consists of all labor, material, and equipment required to remove existing railroad tics and rail from the existing bridge, clean and repaint existing structural steel, construct a new concrete bridge deck, install new guard rail, tuckpointing existing concrete pier and abutments, tuckpoint existing stone wingwalls, place riprap at pier abutments, install trail lighting along trail and on bridge. Other miscellaneous related construction will also be included. Each bid shall be submitted on a BOW Approved Bid Form, a copy which may be obtained at the Board of Works' Office and a Financial Statement. The BOW reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in submitting a bid, whichever is in the best interest of the City of Kokomo. The Contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to the contract amount before commencing work.
