For the following Contracts: 504-Electrical Construction Due to increased building security, all vendors are advised to allow ample time for all hand-delivered bids to be received prior bid opening. Bidders must enter the building at Door #5 where they will be directed to G32 by security personnel. Bids shall be submitted in triplicate on the form provided in the documents, prepared and set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name and address ofthe bidder and contract number and title of work to which the proposal relates. Under General Municipal Law 102(2), the Owner shall return the entire amount ofthe deposit submitted by each successful and unsuccessful bidder whose bid is accompanied by required bid security, upon the proper return of one set of plans and specifications. If an unsuccessful bidder obtains more than one set of plans, the Owner, upon the successful return of all additional sets, shall also return an amount equal to the deposit for one ofthe additional sets of plans and specifications less the cost ofreproducing the set. Ifa nonbidder properly returns all sets ofthe plans and specifications, the Owner shall return an amount equal to the deposit for one set less the cost ofreproducing the set. Sets to be returned to DATAFLOW. A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid, subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders, must be submitted by each Bidder with their Bid as a guarantee that in the case ofthe contract being awarded to them, they will within ten (10) days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, and that Bidder shall not withdraw their Bid for a period offorty-five (45) days after the above date of Bid opening, and to guarantee the performance of all other obligations of the Bidders as set forth in Instructions to Bidders. Attention of the Bidders is called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract as well as to other provisions set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Work shall be commenced and continuously and diligently prosecuted immediately after contracts have been signed. The Board of Education hereby reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any or all Bids or to accept the one that in itsjudgment will be for the best interest ofthe school district.
