The Rottenwood Creek Trail Phase 1 project will begin at Alumni Drive (KSU-M) and will end at Franklin Road. The proposed project is 3.2 miles and is 10 ft. - 12 ft. wide and a hard surface multi-use trail system. The proposed project will meander through KSU-M and Life University campuses, linking Wildwood and A.L. Burruss parks, and a greenspace at Franklin Road near the creek. The project proposes a road diet along Barclay Circle, by removing the center turn-lane and building a 10 ft. wide multi-use trail along the south side of the road. The proposed trail project is the first of five phases. The northern terminus of the project, Alumni Drive (KSU-M), is also the ending terminus of the University Trail that was recently completed. With the University Trail, the Rottenwood Creek Trail will link users to the north to city parks and facilities, and other developing trail systems in the City and in Cobb County.
