Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Eagle River, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a retail development; for the demolition of a retail development; for the renovation of a retail development; for site work for a retail development; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of July 17, 2024, this project has been abandoned. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The architect shall be responsible for providing all consultant services including but not limited to architectural and engineering in the fields of civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural services as necessary. The planned use of the facility includes administrative offices, Committee meeting / training room, garage for fleet vehicles, and cold storage. The facility will house Highway's fleet vehicles and other County fleet vehicles. Vilas County Highway Department maintains its own fleet vehicles as well as the County's other fleet vehicles. Areas for vehicle and equipment maintenance and storage for shop supplies, tires, parts and bulk fluids are necessary for this facility. A sign shop and welding/fabrication shop will also reside at the facility. The facility will also house all administrative staff, and will need to meet the Department's staffing, training and Committee meeting needs. Yard facilities are required to support the Department's functioning, including but not limited to, cold storage, fuel dispensing, scale, and salt shed(s). The undeveloped land will also require design of site plans, drainage, driveways, parking and traffic circulation, scale and fuel system, utilities installation, and so on. Proposals shall remain firm once submitted unless withdrawn in writing prior to the proposal due date and time or upon the expiration of 180 days after the due date and time. The written withdrawal must be received by the Highway Commissioner, in writing, prior to the due date and time and submitted by the authorized representative of the proposer Vilas County Highway Committee reserves the right to negotiate the terms of the contract, including the award amount, with the selected proposer prior to the County entering into a contract. If contract negotiations cannot be concluded successfully with the highest scoring proposer, the Highway Committee may negotiate a contract with the next highest scoring proposer. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
